Markus Schulz Danny Tenaglia Be Yourself Edit Trance Progressive Techno

This morning while burning through some overnight tweets, I came across this tweet by our friend @EDMinsider showcasing this massive tribute Markus Schulz paid to Danny Tenaglia. For those who don’t know who Danny Tenaglia is, he is one of the industry’s leading Techno and Dance music producers. Danny Tenaglia (aka Uncle Danny) recently announced his ‘resignation’ from touring around the world (don’t worry EDCNY go-ers, he’s still scheduled to play the event) and just last week he celebrated his birthday at Pacha NYC which so happened to be one of his final events before he goes into hibernation. Such a massive crowd attended and showed nothing but love and compassion for the house music icon. I was able to stand right underneath the booth as he leaned over and greeted his loving fans (btw, I considered not washing my hands after he shook it). I’ve never seen a DJ so emotional before. You could see, just by looking at his facial expressions, how much he adored his fans.

Anywho, Markus Schulz rendered his own version of Danny Tenaglia’s – Be Yourself track by adding a massive big room feel to it. I find it odd that Markus Schulz jumped across the biggest ‘genre pond’ to remix a track, but hey! it worked. Now before you go on to say ‘What? Theres no way you can turn a techno track into a big room banger’ , Markus Schulz preserved the dark beat that Danny Tenaglia originally brought to the table. The bass is top notch, the slight echoes keep your ears in tune, and the electrifying momentum the track has is sure to keep any club shaking throughout the track. All in all, the edit is primo. Can’t wait to hear it tonight at Pacha NYC.
